sleepy chai walnuts
i hacked this classic INDIAN spice blend for all you VATA friends adding NUTMEG, our most sedative and grounding spice.
you'll need a cup of WALNUTS, a tsp of COCONUT OIL, a 1/4 cup MAPLE SYRUP, a tbsp of both CINNAMON & GINGER, and a tsp of each: CARDAMOM, BLACK PEPPER, CLOVES.
toss the nuts in the oil & syrup and roast at 325 F for 10 to 15 mins. you want the maple to caramelize a little.
when you take the nuts out of the oven, immediately toss them in the spices.
