golden latte for vata
this latte will warm cold digestion and extremities, increase appetite, encourage regularity, and calm nerves.
combine 1.5 c of COW’S MILK, 1 tsp of HONEY, 1/2 tsp of SESAME OIL, and 1/8 tsp of CINNAMON, GINGER, NUTMEG and TURMERIC*. mix well and serve warm.
real dairy is the most nourishing for vata but swap the COW’s MILK for nut especially WALNUT MYLK for nervous system support. HONEY is a lesser known laxative which is great for vata’s tendency towards cold, dry digestion. the CINNAMON and GINGER add warmth while the NUTMEG and SESAME OIL soothe frayed nerves.
*if you are experiencing the astringent nature of the season with dry skin or irregularity, consider only adding a dash of TURMERIC for color or leaving it off all together.
